WC costs nationwide and in Texas have been remarkably steady. But all the pundits are predicting headwinds. Why? And is there anything you can do about it?

This class will cover strategies for insureds to reduce the risk of loss so there are fewer claims. Once a claim is filed, the class will concentrate on proven and legal strategies to reduce the scope of indemnity and medical costs for the insured’s employees, thereby reducing overall costs and improving return-to-work outcomes. The class will also focus on recent legislative changes expanding insurance presumptions for certain public employees. Rising costs will be examined, including the impact of AI as it is used by insurance stakeholders. Finally, the class will address contractual indemnity and the availability and cost of excess insurance.
